The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst – Electrical & Electronics plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for ITW. This position partners closely with the Electrical & Electronics Category Team and supports the Electromechanical Category to identify opportunities, drive cost optimization, and deliver measurable value across multiple ITW segments.

In this high-impact role, you will lead and support complex, cross-segment sourcing initiatives—leveraging shared supplier networks and data-driven insights to unlock sustainable savings and strategic advantage. You will be accountable for delivering key outcomes, including cost savings, sourcing strategy execution, and successful multi-segment sourcing events that create enterprise-wide impact.

This role requires strong self-management and ownership, with the ability to support negotiation strategies, apply advanced sourcing techniques such as value engineering, and assess supplier capabilities to drive performance improvements. Drawing on purchasing and operational experience, you will ensure sourcing strategies are both practical and scalable.

Additionally, this role serves as a key resource for analyzing and synthesizing complex data across multiple ERP systems and market intelligence sources, using tools such as Excel to transform fragmented information into cohesive, actionable sourcing strategies. Your ability to connect data to business outcomes will directly inform supplier decisions, negotiation approaches, and long-term category planning.

Key Deliverables:

  • Data Mining and Analytics

    • Analyze internal and external datasets to identify cost savings opportunities, supply risks, and data anomalies, and effectively communicate insights and recommendations to key stakeholders

    • Validate and resolve data discrepancies to ensure accuracy of sourcing decisions

    • Provide comprehensive analysis to support strategic sourcing solutions

    • Create and maintain datasets as appropriate

    • Utilize third-party tools to drive data-cleansing and standardization

  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

    • Support development and execution of global sourcing strategies

    • Drive supplier segmentation and consolidate spend with preferred suppliers

    • Where appropriate, protect ITW’s long-term interest with formal contracts or agreements between ITW and its suppliers.

    • Support ITW’s organic growth goals by engaging with engineering and innovation teams in NPD projects on a regular basis globally.

  • Coordinate RFQ’s to drive cost savings

    • Create a comprehensive analysis of supplier quotations to aid in the sourcing selection process

    • Work with ITW divisions to obtain and validate commodity sourcing requirements

    • Work with the supply base to ensure a timely and efficient RFQ process

  • Market Analysis

    • Capture commodity market data and create comprehensive market and supplier summaries that will aid in sourcing strategies.

    • Manage various risks (lifecycle, lead time/availability, sole sourcing, financial, supplier selection, warranty, etc.).  Track commodity shortages, price increases, Force Majeures, and other events to ensure supply continuity.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in a science-based discipline or a Supply Chain-related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in direct material sourcing, supply chain, engineering, or operations capacity is required

  • Professional or educational knowledge of one or more of the following commodity categories is required: Cables, Wire Harnesses, Electrical Components, PCBA’s, Electronic Components, and Various Electromechanical Components.

  • Ability to work 5 days a week onsite at the Glenview, IL corporate campus with flexibility in hours

  • Knowledge and experience in Design for Manufacturing and VAVE are desired

  • Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office

  • Power BI experience is a plus

  • Willingness to travel as needed

Compensation Information:

The compensation package for the role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $90k - $95k annually.
